What Is Middle of the Night About?

The widowed, affluent garment mogul Jerry Kingsley, in his fifties, embarks on a romance with Betty, a divorced 24‑year‑old receptionist, despite their age gap. His daughter Lillian, his sister Evelyn, and Betty’s mother all disapprove, and the couple faces growing tension when Jerry talks of marriage, forcing Betty to confront her own doubts.
