Kunchacko Boban plays Mahesh, and Preeti Jhangiani portrays Veena, a happily married couple living in Germany (Duesseldorf and Frankfurt). Mahesh works at an amusement park named Prater, a detail that gives a glimpse of everyday life with a touch of whimsy.

One day, Vineeth Radhakrishnan as Vijay Krishnan, a poet and Mahesh’s childhood friend, visits them. He is burdened by grief: his girlfriend Neena Praveena died of cancer, and before she passed she asked him to marry another after her death. This memory lingers and makes Vijay uneasy, and he grows obsessed with Veena because she resembles Neena.

Mahesh learns of this, but he chooses to protect Veena from the pain by not letting her know. He takes Vijay to a cliff and urges him to rethink his path and go back home. In a moment of violence, Vijay tries to kill Mahesh; the elder man slips and falls from the cliff to his death. Vijay does not try to save him, despite having the chance.

The entire incident is captured by Mahesh’s automatic camera, a detail that will later reveal the truth to Veena. When Veena accidentally views the photographs, she sees the truth behind that day and the tragedy that unfolded. She pretends to have moved on, signaling that she is ready to share her life with Vijay again. She asks him to bring her to the cliff where Mahesh died, a place that Mahesh himself had long dreamed of visiting to take photos from that vantage.

Veena then confronts Vijay with the new, painful knowledge and sets in motion a plan to end the cycle of obsession. In a climactic act of revenge, she goes to the cliff with Vijay and ends her own life there, before him, sealing the revelation in a final, devastating moment.
