During a brutal snowstorm, Transcon Airways Flight 602, a Boeing 727 en route from Los Angeles to New York with a planned stop in Salt Lake City, becomes a high-stakes test of nerves and skill. In the hospital, Captain Douglas learns that his wife, Kitty Douglass, has undergone a breast cancer biopsy that reveals a benign tumor, a relief that eases the weight of the crisis for his family.
