Mancunian Man: The Legendary Life of Cliff Twemlow (2023): Cast

Set in the 1980s, this film charts the true story of Cliff Twemlow—a nightclub bouncer turned novelist, composer, singer, screenwriter, producer and actor—who became the UK’s most prolific indie filmmaker for a decade. In Manchester he built a micro‑film industry, shooting features on pioneering video equipment; his 1983 title G.B.H. was labeled a “Video Nasty”. The portrait blends humor and nostalgia, capturing an era where anything seemed possible.
