Malaga 1954

Joanna Dane is sent to Tangiers to gather information on, and shut down, an international smuggling ring. Dane is adept at jiu jitsu, firearms, and wisecracks that she uses on anyone who tangles with her. Her beauty, stylish outfits, and skill with playing cards help her land a position as a croupier at Frisco’s, the smuggler’s hangout run by the hard-edged Frisco.

Dane soon finds herself under the scrutiny of the sleek, determined smuggler Van Logan, a man who uses her to reach Ali Baba’s, a parfumerie run by the suspicious Mustapha. As she navigates this dangerous underworld, she keeps her eyes on the bigger goal: closing the ring for good.

While at Frisco’s, Dane is harassed by Danny Boy, Logan’s Irish assistant Danny Boy, who ignores her insults and warnings to leave him alone. When he threatens her, she grips him and flings him to the floor. Augie Augie — another target of her surveillance — retaliates by beating Danny Boy’s head with his cane, knocking him unconscious. Logan then confronts Augie, sparking a tense exchange that reveals Logan’s sword-cane and his willingness to use it.

Joanna accompanies Logan, Danny Boy, and his crew on their boat, the Banshee, as they attempt to smuggle goods into Spain. Their operation is interrupted when they are hijacked by a boat led by Augie. The Banshee manages to escape, but not with their cargo. Logan is arrested by the Civil Guard but manages to slip away, while Augie makes a failed attempt to assassinate Joanna.

Determined to end the operation, Dane tracks down the real head of the smuggling ring. In the climactic sequence, she shoots Logan and, with the Civil Guard closing in, brings down the mastermind behind the scheme, bringing the case to a close.
