Spoilers ahead
In 2005, in the village of Kambalapally, Telangana, a young student named Ravi, Harshith Malgireddy, is portrayed as innocent and curious, deeply touched by the growing lure of computers in a place where the internet is still a novelty. With the village buzzing about this new technology, Hybath launches an internet centre, offering a doorway to a wider world. When Ravi cannot enroll in any formal computer course, he pleads with Hybath to teach him the basics, and Hybath reluctantly agrees, bound by a liquor deal that shades their bargain with a touch of risk. To fund his learning, Ravi borrows money from Shivanna, a local moneylender, and Hybath helps by creating a new e-mail account for him, opening a channel to a future he barely understands.
