Dr. Saul Benjamin agrees to temporarily take on a patient as a favor to his colleague and friend Otto Jaffe, who is infatuated with her. The patient is Chloe Allen, a woman whose presence unsettles the rhythm of his practice. After Otto Jaffe dies, Chloe comes to see Dr. Benjamin, and he is immediately smitten, blurring the lines between clinical duty and personal desire.
