Donald Duck is a lighthouse keeper stationed at a flame-based lighthouse, where the lamp is more than just a light—it defines his quiet, nighttime routine. While he tends the spinning beacon, he tries to read a book by the glow it casts across his desk. A playful misstep sends him tumbling from his chair as he reaches for the light, and in a reflex he slides closer to the flame, only to have the lamp rotate and carry his office chair along with it. The scene becomes a small, noisy imbalance as he nudges nearer the window, yet he remains frustrated that the pages still refuse to cooperate with the glow.
