Kunjiraman Vineeth Sreenivasan, the eager nephew of the famed Welldone Vasu Mamukkoya, sets his heart on marrying Vasu’s daughter, Thankamani Rimi Tomy. But their plans collide with a foolish rival: Laalu Dhyan Sreenivasan, Kunjiraman’s cousin, who slips an inappropriate cassette into Kunjiraman’s VCR and then blames him. The incident seeds a deep rift between the two families, each determined to secure a marriage for their child before the other does.

To prove his worth and earn money, Kunjiraman heads to the Gulf, while Laalu becomes an apprentice in Kuttan’s tailoring shop, looking up to Kuttan Aju Varghese as a role model. Back home, Sumathi Seema G Nair, Kunjiraman’s mother, arranges a match for him with Sajitha Srindaa. On the engagement day, Sajitha makes him promise to quit drinking, and in a symbolic act, Kunjiraman breaks a “Salsa” bottle before returning to the Gulf. Despite his efforts, repeated attempts to bring Salsa into the village fail, and it becomes clear that the place is cursed, unable to tolerate the symbol that once marked his challenge.

When Kunjiraman finally returns, he publicly accepts the challenge to bring Salsa into the land in front of Laalu and Vasu, hoping to win respect from the village. But the night before the wedding, a reckless detour leads him to drink and sleep through the next noon, missing the wedding altogether. He leaves for the Gulf again, and in his absence, Vasu returns to the village and unknowingly carries the Salsa bottle that Ratheesh Hareesh Perumanna had bought earlier, instantly elevating Vasu to local hero status. Yet this heroic moment ushers in a new misfortune—the curse of failed marriages.

Meanwhile, Laalu is pulled into schemes by Kuttan to win the heart of Reshma [Sneha Unnikrishnan], the sister of the local policeman, but Kunjiraman returns after a year to discover that his mother wants him to marry Mallika [Arya Babu], Paramu’s daughter. Laalu’s dreams falter again when Kunjiraman’s return coincides with his mother’s arrangement. He and Kuttan hatch a plan to derail the engagement by locking Reshma in her room the night before the ceremony, hoping society’s shame will force a breakup. However, a drunken Kuttan locks the door from inside and ends up spending the night with Reshma, leading to her marriage to Kuttan and leaving Kunjiraman and Laalu heartbroken. Kunjiraman departs for the Gulf, while Kuttan tries to steer Laalu away from Reshma by suggesting Mallika has an interest in him.

As Thankamani’s own wedding approaches, Sumathi pushes for a union between Kunjiraman and Mallika on the same day and at the same temple. Laalu, egged on by Kuttan, attempts to spoil the plan, only to discover that Thankamani has secretly eloped—indeed, she had planned the escape herself. Realizing the truth, the group bands together to prevent Thankamani’s fiancé from reaching the temple.

The wedding day arrives with a twist: the man at the temple gate is Manoharan Biju Menon. He agrees to participate in the ceremony for appearances, then makes a bold move of his own. At the ceremony, Kunjiraman and Thankamani are married, even without prior consent, but Manoharan refuses to let Laalu marry Mallika and instead weds Mallika himself, declaring that he won’t leave the land empty-handed. Mallika’s history hints at more complications, as the film closes on the note that the place may still be cursed—and with Manoharan convinced that the land has delivered its greatest curse.
