Keiko Kishi, Eternally Rebellious (2023): Cast

Born in 1932, Keiko Kishi became one of the first Japanese actresses to achieve international recognition. Her move to France and marriage to director Yves Ciampi in 1957, following his filming of her in "Typhoon Over Nagasaki," sparked a significant scandal in Japan. Despite this controversy, she continued a prolific acting career in Japan, collaborating with renowned directors such as Kon Ichikawa, Yasujiro Ozu, and Masaki Kobayashi, and forging connections between Japanese and European cinema. Known for her independence and rebellious spirit, she established her own production company early in her career, becoming an inspiration for generations of filmmakers.
