Kaccha Limbo denotes a child who is not mature enough, and the film centers on the trials and tribulations of 13-year-old Shambu. In school, he faces relentless ostracism from peers who tease him for being overweight, turning his daily life into a quiet struggle to belong. Yet, his home life offers a counterbalance: a loving, caring family surrounds him, even if his bond with his stepfather remains distant, as the stepfather comes across as genuinely sympathetic but unable to bridge the gap completely. Amid the social noise, Shambu nurtures a crush on a girl who clearly rejects him because of how he looks, and he keeps the connection alive by speaking to her as an anonymous voice on the phone, clinging to a sense of possibility.
