Sunny Chopra [Vivek Oberoi] is a 28-year-old writer who has carved out a name for himself as the popular agony uncle, Gyan Guru, for the Times of Hindustan. He’s a touch cynical, convinced that every achievement is the result of his own hard work, and he treats marriage to his fiancée Jenny [Ayesha Takia] and the festival of Diwali with a wary eye. Fresh off landing a prestigious screenplay project for the most talked-about director, Karan Johar [Karan Johar], Sunny finds his worldview clashing with the film world’s glamour and pressures. His life paints a sharp contrast to Michael Burnett [Boman Irani], a cheerful, almost childlike man who has recently taken a job as a pizza delivery boy at Mummy’s Pizza and vows to hold onto it no matter how many times life tests him.

On the eve of Diwali, Sunny’s schedule is a tight knot: meet his screenplay deadline, get rid of Pandey [Saurabh Shukla], his irritatingly intrusive next-door neighbor, and dodge the editor who keeps ringing with demands. He’s also chasing a date with Maya [Mahima Chaudhry], a South Indian superstar he’s adored for years, while trying to clear a path with Jenny in the background. In the middle of the chaos, Sunny orders a pizza to fill a bare apartment and to keep his plans intact, unaware that this delivery will be about to deliver much more than a meal.

What follows is a day that feels like a cascade of small miracles and comic misadventures, a doorstep delivery of life’s practical lessons that challenges Sunny’s hard-edged view of the world.
