Directly after the events of the first film, the story reunites Saravanan [Vetri] and Mani [Karunakaran] as they try to steady their lives and friendships. Saravanan is now happily married to Kavitha [Ashwini Chandrashekaran], Sivagami’s daughter, whose eyes are poised for costly treatment in a bid to restore her sight. Sivagami’s younger brother Kathir [Mime Gopi] remains a steady fixture in their circle, and Saravanan takes on a quieter life as a ride‑share driver, with Mani by his side. Kavitha’s treatment becomes a daily reminder of the fragility of their happiness, yet there is a sense of optimism as the family leans on each other for support and small successes begin to accumulate.

But a shadow looms large when Kathir is hunted by thugs one night, and Saravanan steps in to save him. Kathir reveals a troubling debt: after a failed venture, he borrowed against Sivagami’s home, and the loan sharks are pressing for the property. With the house at stake, Sivagami makes a painful choice to sacrifice the family home to protect them. The loss of rental income pushes the family into precarious financial distress, and Saravanan feels the weight of responsibility more than ever. To keep the family afloat, he roams between hope and desperation, and in a bid to stabilize their future, he convinces Mani to help him burgle a wealthy friend, Hari. The plan is reckless, but the pressure feels irresistible in the moment.

Morning after the break‑in brings tragedy: Hari is found dead in his home, and the police, led by officer Aadil Mohammad, begin to focus on Saravanan and Mani as Hari’s closest associates. Hari’s grandmother, however, holds a crucial recording that suggests a deeper, more complicated truth about Hari’s fate. The case compounds the family’s trauma, and the gravity of their actions begins to ripple outward in ways none of them anticipated. Around these events, Kavitha’s father dies in his sleep, Saravanan’s niece suffers a troubling setback with her eyesight, and Kavitha herself discovers she is pregnant. The toll of these shocks strains every relationship and tests the very foundations of their fragile peace.

Driven by a growing sense of responsibility and a fear for his own family, Saravanan embarks on a private investigation into Hari’s death. He tracks down Siva, who reveals a tangled past: Hari and Siva had once robbed a former neighbor, and in the process, the neighbor’s wife was killed. The survivors escaped, but the neighbor then died by suicide, leaving a young daughter orphaned. The trail eventually leads back to the bag of stolen jewels Mani had once misplaced on a bus—jewels that surprisingly surface again in Saravanan’s hands. The subsequent recordings and testimonies reveal a shocking truth: Kathir had indeed murdered Hari, not as a random act, but as part of a calculated plan to seize Sivagami’s home. Aadil Mohammad’s pursuit of the truth confirms Kathir’s ruthlessness and his manipulation of the family’s fortunes. Kathir’s estranged wife and child testify to his cold methods, and it becomes clear that the child is, in fact, Saravanan’s former lover Ananthi.

Over a year later, the family begins to mend. Saravanan’s niece regains her sight thanks to surgery, and Kavitha plans her own procedure to restore her sight as well. The couple decide to adopt an orphaned child, a decision that arrives with a painful, bittersweet revelation: the child is the daughter of the family that Siva and Hari had burgled. The newly formed family hints at a cycle beginning to close, as Saravanan contemplates bequeathing the jewels to his new daughter. In this sense, the film closes the triangle of fate once more—balancing loss and renewal, danger and hope, as a family fights to remain intact against the tides of greed and misfortune.
