Aruljothi, Sheela Rajkumar, is four days away from giving birth when her husband, Ashwin, Saravanan, a doctor, rushes off to handle an emergency. Left alone at home, a shocking turn of events unfolds: someone quietly stitches Aruljothi’s abdomen and the baby suddenly vanishes, leaving the family reeling in fear and confusion.

The mystery quickly draws in the local law enforcement, with Sakthi, Vetri, Jothi’s friend Janaki’s husband, leading the inquiry alongside a growing team. As detectives chase leads, it’s revealed that Aruljothi is adopted, and her sister Nisha resents Jothi’s apparent wealth. A tense CCTV sweep shows Ranga, the former driver who previously worked for Ashwin and Aruljothi, entering the house just before the camera goes dark.

During questioning, Ranga confesses that he came to ask for money from Jothi to fund his mother’s kidney transplant. He recalls a heated argument in which Nisha threatened Jothi’s life, and Nisha herself hints that someone has been stalking them, fueling the investigators’ paranoia. The plot thickens when a lab analysis of the blood found at the house indicates two distinct groups: one belonging to Jothi and the other to a female suspect—AB−, under 30, with Thalassemia. The detectives circle potential suspects, zeroing in on Janaki, who has been depressed by her inability to conceive.

Janaki is confronted, and she reveals a troubling connection: she has seen Ashwin with Kamini, the managing director of Kamini Hospitals who also serves as Janaki’s doctor and Ashwin’s former lover. Janaki further claims that Ashwin coerced her into multiple abortions, a revelation that paints a darker portrait of the couple’s past and hints at hidden motives behind the crib theft.

As the investigation unfolds, the team identifies the culprit: Shanti, who works at Kamini hospital. Shanti is detained, and under pressure she admits that Ranga took her to Jothi’s house, though she also notes that someone else directed the deed. Sakthi then corners the principals at the hospital—Jothi, Ashwin, Nisha, and Janaki—and discloses a startling twist: Jothi was the one who instructed Shanti to carry out the act.

The case takes another shocking turn when Ranga reveals a broader crime: Ashwin has been selling newborn babies to wealthy couples. Faced with this harrowing truth, Jothi decides to take control of the situation in a deeply personal way by returning the baby to one of the victim’s families, signaling a bid for some form of justice amid the chaos.

Throughout the mix of betrayals, fear, and moral ambiguity, the narrative threads together a web of family loyalties, professional pangs, and the desperate lengths people will go to protect or reclaim what they believe is theirs.
