In the midst of tense negotiations between the United States and Israel, senior FBI agent Shane Daughtry, David A.R. White, is approached by Arlin Rockwell, Lee Majors, an arms dealer who hints at a covert operation called the Seven Wonders. Before Rockwell can reveal more, he is abruptly murdered by Nick Tanner, Liam Matthews, a ruthless terrorist. Daughtry relentlessly pursues Tanner and manages to bring him down, setting off a broader investigation that pulls in Daughtry’s colleagues and rivals alike.
Meanwhile, Eve Rearden, Anna Zielinski, visits with her father, Jackson, Stacy Keach, who warns that the ongoing negotiations may end in disaster. She brushes off his concerns and continues with her duties, placing trust in the security apparatus rather than in family warnings. Rearden later teams up with Daughtry, and together they push into a dangerous web of conspiracy and international stakes.
As the investigation unfolds, they discover that the so‑called Seven Wonders are actually nuclear warheads smuggled into the United States with the aim of crippling the country and leaving Israel dangerously exposed to attack. The urgency intensifies as they trace the threat to a shadowy group known as the Revolution of God, which appears to be orchestrated by powerful individuals rather than a single organization. They bring their findings to Jack Thompson, Randy Travis, a CIA officer who confirms that the Revolution of God is alleged to be a clandestine circle of world leaders intent on domination. They also learn that Matthew Dean, Nick Jameson, a former CIA agent, is working for the group. Jack’s reluctance to divulge more deepens Daughtry’s suspicions about who truly controls the plot.
The danger escalates when Tanner reveals that the operation includes plans to assassinate the visiting Israeli Prime Minister. Rearden races to protect the Prime Minister, while Daughtry heads to Chicago, where the bombs are believed to be stored. The security threat intensifies as Dean infiltrates the airport from which the Prime Minister is departing and plants a bomb on the plane. Rearden spots Dean, a tense shootout ensues, and the bomb detonates, killing the Israeli Prime Minister and changing the mission’s stakes entirely.
Back in Chicago, Daughtry learns the nukes are hidden in a suburban neighborhood. Daniel, a local resident who has grown suspicious of the occupants, helps Daughtry and a small team thwart the terrorists and prevent any detonation of the warheads.
Dean contacts his superior, who berates him for the failed operation. He is then killed by Tanner, who had earlier escaped FBI custody. Tanner seizes Dean’s phone and speaks to the leader, who is revealed to be Jack. Jack orders him to await further instructions, and Tanner sets off a bomb that destroys Dean’s vehicle, severing another link in the chain of command.
As the pursuit continues, Daughtry reconnects with Rearden, but an earthquake shakes the city and the sky turns a strange red. Then the Rapture occurs, lifting all Christians from the earth—including Jackson and Daniel. Rearden laments not heeding her father’s warnings, while Daughtry prepares to rescue Rearden as Chicago spirals into chaos and collapse.
