Haikara-san: Here Comes Miss Modern Part 1 (2017): Cast & Box Office

Benio Hanamura, nicknamed “Haikara-san,” was raised by her military father after her mother’s passing. Growing up, she defied traditional expectations of Japanese femininity, embracing unconventional interests like kendo and Western fashion. Rejecting arranged marriages and valuing a woman's right to pursue a career and marry for love, Benio’s spirited nature often leads to humorous and heartwarming situations as she navigates societal norms.
