Kabir Malhotra, Anupam Kher, is a billionaire tycoon who invites four people to his secluded island home in Greece, sending each a different letter. The four guests, who have never met before, are:
The guests arrive to a reception in a dining room that is secretly filmed, where Kabir’s personal assistant, Samara Shroff, Gauahar Khan, guides them inside. In a chilling reveal, Kabir tells them that he has invited them because of their ties to his daughter Maya, a figure he has spent years trying to locate. Maya’s life story is dark and complicated: trafficked as a child by OP Ramsay in Thailand, she grows up in the crime world, moving through Istanbul as a dancer and then into India before meeting a tragic end. Kabir’s long hunt for her has left him convinced that Maya’s death is connected to each of the guests in different ways.
As the four guests settle in, it becomes clear that Kabir has not gathered them by chance. He has collected damning evidence against three of them and has arranged for the International Vigilance Squad (IVS) to arrive on the island to arrest the suspects. Tisha is the only one among the four who appears innocent, yet she is not entirely free of mystery: she is Maya’s fraternal twin and Kabir’s youngest biological child, a fact that changes the entire dynamic of the island confrontation. Tisha makes it clear she does not want Kabir’s fortune or to be his beneficiary, pushing back against his attempts to forge a relationship.
When the IVS, led by Sia Agnihotri, Kangana Ranaut, lands on the island, the tension shifts from a courtroom drama to a survival thriller. Sia reviews Kabir’s alleged evidence and watches a video of Kabir’s speech from the previous night, yet she remains unconvinced that the murder was a simple suicide. The case seems open, but the surviving four guests remain under close scrutiny, and Samara’s presence with Neil raises suspicions about the real motive behind Kabir’s plans.
Through a series of flashbacks, the audience learns more about Maya’s life and her connections to each of the guests. Neil’s past with Maya reveals a deep bond formed during a tense moment when she saved his life during a casino shootout. Maya’s voicemail to him, claiming she was pregnant, suggests a secret that could upend the island’s desperate hunt for justice. In the present, Neil uses this personal memory to navigate the dangerous labyrinth of accusations, while Sia monitors him and the others in a bid to protect the truth.
As the story unfolds, Neil’s operatic cover as a Turkish drug cartel officer comes into sharper focus. He is not merely a witness or a victim; he is a field agent whose real name is Major Arjun Singhania, long embedded within the cartel. Neil’s discovery of Kabir’s right-handed gun in a house where Kabir was said to have used his left hand raises a crucial doubt about Kabir’s suicide. He and Sia find themselves in a delicate alliance, working together to uncover the DNA of guilt that extends beyond a single death.
Tisha’s fate becomes increasingly precarious as the inheritance battle heats up. She wakes with rumors of a suicide attempt but insists she was attacked, not driven to despair. The investigation widens when it’s discovered that Kabir had a brother, Iqbal, who stands to inherit; the duo travels to a missionary where Iqbal supposedly resides, only to find him too ill to speak. A nurse reveals a daughter who died, but clues—such as letters dated after the supposed death—hint that she may still be alive. The pieces of the puzzle start pointing toward a carefully crafted conspiracy designed to misdirect law enforcement.
Back on the island, the truth narrows to a single, painful revelation: Samara is actually Natasha, Iqbal’s daughter and Kabir’s biological niece, a fact Kabir never knew. Natasha’s presence explains the choreography of deceit that surrounded Kabir’s fortune. Natasha and Iqbal had plotted to seize the inheritance, using the other guests as fall guys to deflect suspicion from Samara. The mosaic of motives comes undone when a staged gunshot sound is produced by a delayed firecracker, coinciding with a fire that destroys the will leaving everything to Tisha.
Natasha’s plan begins to unravel as Iqbal tries to kill Neil and Sia, only to be thwarted. Neil resists, and Iqbal is fatally shot while Natasha is arrested. The intricate trap is exposed: Kabir’s death was not a simple suicide, but a calculated scheme whose threads were pulled by Natasha and Iqbal with Samara playing a pivotal but ultimately exposed role. The island’s illusion of certainty dissolves into a layered truth, exposing the dangerous structures of power, family secrets, and the moral ambiguities of vengeance and love.
In the final reckoning, the characters face the consequences of their choices as Sia and Neil close in on the truth. The film leaves viewers with a stark meditation on wealth, loyalty, and the toxic reach of a past that refuses to stay buried, even when justice seems to arrive in the most unexpected of forms.
