Fukrey Returns 2017

Fresh out of college in Delhi, life is lively for Vikas ‘Hunny’ Gulati, [Pulkit Samrat], Dilip ‘Choocha’ Singh, [Varun Sharma], Lali, [Manjot Singh], and Zafar Khan, [Ali Fazal]. Hunny and Zafar are dating Priya Sharma, [Priya Anand], and Neetu Singh Raina, [Vishakha Singh], respectively, and both couples plan to marry.

Bholi Punjaban, [Richa Chadha], is released from jail after 12 months and sends her henchmen to fetch the quartet. The four are brought to her place along with their acquaintance Pandit, [Pankaj Tripathi]. She asks them about their plan to fool her; as they convince her, she gives them one chance and invests some money to open a Lottery Shop for them. People are given numbers to which they invest their money, and Choocha begins to distribute leaflets around the city, drawing in more hopeful investors.

Meanwhile, Minister Babulal Bhatia, [Rajiv Gupta], from the Janta Vikas Party, clashes with the Chief Minister over the next election, betting on a win. Police rounds up drugs and fake lottery shops across the city. After discovering the quartet’s shop, Babulal orders the lottery to change the winning number that Choocha dreamt, leaving all the investors furious. A crowd gathers to attack them, but they manage to escape by leaping off a flyover into the river. They regain consciousness at a construction site and are spotted by Panditji.

Choocha discovers a new ability to foresee the future, which he cheekily calls Deja Chu. He envisions a tiger in a cave and boxes that allegedly hold treasure, a vision that deepens the group’s appetite for a windfall.

The foursome runs afoul of Bholi again, who, angered by their foolishness, orders them to be killed, but Choocha’s Deja Chu wins her over and she forgives them. Bholi then proposes a treasure hunt, and the boys agree only if she releases them. Fearing losses for the people who invested, Babulal invites the boys to his residence, while Panditji is sent in disguise to keep an eye on them. Over dinner, the boys are forced to swear to help Babulal in exchange for their welfare.

The next day, the boys take the blame for the misuse of funds, while Bholi delivers factory papers to the Chief Minister to complicate the case for Babulal. After the boys leave, police raid all the lottery shops in Delhi. They return home to see the disappointment in their loved ones and decide to hatch a bigger plan to earn money.

At Panditji’s place, Choocha is again shown a dream in which Lali holds a tiger cub, signaling new twists ahead. Meanwhile, Babulal uncovers Bholi’s plan and ambushes her operation, yet he allows forgiveness in exchange for the treasure-seeking scheme. To secure her deal, Bholi calls Hunny, who asks for a tiger cub she had sold earlier.

The four friends, along with Bholi’s guards, return to the park and are joined by Priya and Neetu. They dig a hole, enter a cave, and are spotted by the cub’s mother. They barely escape and are led to a warehouse filled with illegal goods worth around ₹400 million. Babulal arrives, furious to learn the warehouse contains his own trade inventory; the police arrive as tensions peak. In a surprising moment, Zafar calls the authorities, uncovering that Babulal bought the goods from China. Choocha then makes a bold proposal to Bholi, who responds with a kiss that surprises everyone involved.

In the end, the friends inaugurate an electronics shop using the goods they found, turning misfortune into opportunity. The film closes on a joyful note as Zafar marries Neetu in Goa.
