Rino is a lonely, overweight bachelor residing in his late grandmother’s house, finding solace in the everyday task of translating instruction manuals from German into his native Norwegian. His life is rather uneventful, mainly centered around these translations, with his only interactions stemming from occasional phone calls to his German clients and surprise visits from his father. His social life is limited to a somewhat one-sided friendship with Fillip, a show-off character who often belittles him.
