As Abraham Bursztein, an 88-year-old Jewish tailor with a rich family legacy, confronts the unsettling news of his daughters’ intent to sell their cherished family home and transition him to a nursing facility, he is thrust into a deeply emotional journey for connection and closure. Facing the heart-wrenching prospect of losing his beloved apartment, a repository of countless memories, Abraham embarks on a transformative expedition from Buenos Aires to Łódź, Poland. His mission? To honor his commitment to Piotrek by crafting and gifting him the last bespoke suit of his lifetime.

As Abraham traverses the varied landscapes of Europe, he crosses paths with numerous individuals who, despite his sometimes gruff exterior and unkind words, are drawn to his story and step in to offer their support. In Spain, he finds an unexpected ally in María, who aids him in recovering from a robbery’s financial blow while also helping him reconnect with his estranged daughter. Then in Germany, Ingrid plays a pivotal role in facilitating Abraham’s reconciliation with his own past and the country that once symbolized his suffering.

The journey takes an intriguing turn when he meets Gosia, a compassionate Polish nurse, who feels an inexplicable urge to accompany him on the concluding phase of his expedition.
