What Is Der Kapitän About?
The premise of Der Kapitän without spoilers.
Captain Ebbs, an experienced seaman who has spent his career on freight vessels, must leave his barge Martin Luther for repairs. The shipping line assigns him the sleek cruise liner Julia to cover for an ill colleague. Unaccustomed to luxury cruising, Ebbs struggles with his new duties and often embarrasses himself socially as he adapts.
