Deported Women of the SS Special Section 1976

In Nazi Germany, a train carries a group of female prisoners toward an SS concentration camp where they will face brutal control from the camp commandant, John Steiner, and his guards, including a lesbian warden. Among the guards is the Kapo Helga, Erna Schurer, who helps enforce the harsh rules that govern life behind the barbed wire and barbed expectations.

The women’s arrival is only the beginning of a harrowing cycle of cruelty, threat, and small acts of defiance. Within the ranks of the inmates we follow Mara, [Felicita Fanny], and Tania Nobel, [Lina Polito], two women whose paths become entangled with the commandant’s unsettling fixation. He had fallen for Tania before the war, a love she rejected in favor of another man who is later murdered on his orders, a fact that shades every subsequent interaction between them with a dangerous mix of desire and danger.

Tania’s struggle begins with a desperate attempt to survive, including a period where she starves herself, but she soon shifts gears, pretending to respond to the commandant’s affections. The man’s fixation intensifies, and a charged evening unfolds in the commandant’s private space, where he hints at a plan to escape to South America. The moment of betrayal arrives when Tania, in a calculated act of revenge, wields a hidden razor blade during their intimate encounter, a move that shatters whatever fragile balance remained between them.

As the camp’s power dynamics tilt toward chaos, the climax unfolds with a dangerous push for freedom. Tania seizes an opportunity to help the other inmates escape, and in a blaze of perilous courage she turns on a group of SS guards, firing with lethal resolve. The confrontation ends with her being mortally wounded by a guard, sealing a grim cycle of resistance and sacrifice that marks the closing chapters of the escape and the brutal regime that sought to break them.
