What Is Chatterbox About?
The premise of Chatterbox without spoilers.
Ann Shirley plays teenage orphan Jenny Yates, a stage‑crazy redhead who is thrilled when a Victorian melodrama revival comes to her small New England town. Defying her stern grandfather Uriah, she hops into wealthy patron Philip Greene’s car, persuades the troupe, and lands the lead. She does not realise director Archie Fisher plans the new version as a spoof, leading to comic complications.
