Beast Beast 2021

In the sun-drenched suburbs of the Southern United States, high school student Krista discovers her true passion within the theater program at her school. This journey of creativity started during her childhood, when she collaborated on various artistic projects with her next-door neighbor, Adam, who has since embarked on a quest for online fame with a YouTube channel dedicated to firearms tutorials. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, Adam’s channel has not gained much traction, leading to his father’s disappointment and his own feelings of frustration over his stagnant career.

In parallel, we meet Nito, an adventurous skateboarder who shares the same high school with Krista. One night, he encounters Yoni, a vivacious party-goer who invites him to an exhilarating night out. During the festivities, Nito and Krista’s paths cross; she recognizes him as the daring skateboarder she had seen in his online videos. As the night progresses, chaos ensues when police officers arrive to break up the party, resulting in a desperate situation where a party guest attempts to accost Krista. Without hesitation, Nito springs into action to protect her, which leads him to be arrested in the process.

After serving his time, Nito is picked up by his friends: Lena, Jarrett, and Yoni, who quickly embark on a series of mischievous adventures. Their escapades include stealing coveted items, like Hot Pockets and perfume. Amidst this whirlwind, Krista and Nito’s bond strengthens as they explore their artistic sides together. Nito shares his passion for skateboarding, while Krista imparts her knowledge of stage combat. They collaborate on an imaginative performance inspired by Nito’s amusing past encounter with a parakeet, leading to a tender moment and a romantic kiss.

Meanwhile, in a bid to breathe new life into his struggling YouTube channel, Adam concocts a dramatized video claiming he heroically defended against a wild warthog attack. The aftermath is brutal, as viewers unleash a barrage of scathing comments that provoke Adam’s furious response, where he lashes out at his detractors in another video.

As Lena drives them toward the lavish home of her boss, she urges Nito, Yoni, and Jarrett to break in and retrieve her confiscated vape pen. Unbeknownst to her, her boss happens to be Adam’s mother, triggering a catastrophic chain of events. When the trio breaks into the house, Adam, unaware of their presence, remains upstairs, listening intently as the sounds of their intrusion reach him.

In a horrifying twist, Jarrett begins to ascend the staircase just as Adam, armed with a rifle, confronts him. The tragedy escalates when Adam takes Jarrett’s life in a split second, followed by the chaos of claiming another victim in Yoni, forcing Nito into a desperate bid for escape. Sadly, before he can reach safety, Nito is also struck down by Adam’s lethal shots.

The shocking events ripple through the community, drawing the media’s attention and inadvertently launching Adam’s YouTube channel into the spotlight, with many proclaiming him a “hero” for his brutal defense against trespassers. On the other hand, Krista, haunted by the violence she witnessed that night, walks home from school in a fog of despair, burdened by the weight of Nito’s tragic end.

As Adam revels in his newfound fame from firearms-related content that resonates with his growing followers, Krista struggles to cope with her grief. The opportunity for closure arrives when Adam is invited to speak at a firearms conference, prompting Krista to confront him directly. In a moment of anguish, she forces him to wrap his hands around her neck, attracting the attention of nearby officers. As Adam’s life begins to spiral downwards, the leaked video of his ominous threats to his online critics further complicates his situation.

As time passes and Krista returns to her theater pursuits, she finds a glimmer of healing amidst the chaos, yet the indelible scars from that tragic day remain etched in her heart and mind forever.
