The tale unfolds after a treaty between India and the United Kingdom to speed up the extradition of Omar Zafar, a notorious terrorist. In London, during Zafar’s daring prison escape, Col. Viren Nanda is killed and his life is scorched as Omar sets him ablaze. Omar moves under the protection of his trusted lieutenant Hamid Gul, and he makes a bold declaration: a $5 million reward will go to any Indian thief who can steal the fabled Koh-i-Noor. The stage is set for a high-stakes game of pursuit, loyalty, and vengeance.

A shadowy figure named Rajveer Nanda emerges as the key mover in the hunt for the jewel. He steals the Koh-i-Noor and raises the price to $20 million as Zafar and Gul close in on the prize. After a tense clash with Gul’s men at a Shimla restaurant, Rajveer is drawn into another encounter and crosses paths with Harleen Sahni, a bank receptionist who dreams of real love and a life filled with adventure. Harleen is waiting for a blind date arranged by the internet, a man named Vickie Kapoor. Rajveer pretends to be Vickie, and the two quickly fall for each other, though danger forces him to vanish when Gul’s men close in. Harleen, learning the truth and meeting the real Vickie who reveals his own car and phone trouble, is left reeling. Yet when she finally runs into Rajveer again, he pleads for her help to remove a bullet he’s carrying inside him. Before he departs, Rajveer drugs her with sedative water and warns that some law enforcement officials might use coercive tactics to push her into opposing him.

Rajveer’s prediction proves accurate. Two government agents, Zorawar Kalra and his informant Inspector Bhola, urge Harleen to accompany them to the police station, but she refuses and instead joins Rajveer on the run. Following Rajveer’s plan, Harleen retrieves a pistol and confronts the enforcers. The pair manage to escape, but not before a skirmish leaves Harleen’s manager Karan Saxena wounded in the leg by Rajveer. Harleen voices her remorse for trusting him, but she also recognizes his protective intentions and decides to stay by his side. A stop at a Pizza Hut becomes pivotal when Rajveer reveals, with remarkable calm, that he has stolen the Koh-i-Noor, leaving Harleen astonished as Gul and his team close in again.

The duo is forced to improvise as Rajveer tranquilizes Harleen to maintain the grip on their fragile alliance and the pursuit continues. They are pursued by government operatives and Gul’s men, led by Gul’s lieutenant Robert, culminating in a brutal shootout that tests their resolve. Harleen wakes on a beach after an unknown interval, and her faith in Rajveer is renewed when she recognizes his leadership during their escape. The trail leads to Prague, where they discover Gul at a casino and a plan unfolds that results in Rajveer killing Gul. Harleen is taken to the Indian Embassy and meets Zorawar and Internal Secret Services Chief Narayanan, who equips her with a tracking device to pinpoint Rajveer’s movements and the whereabouts of the Koh-i-Noor.

A fresh argument on a bridge signals the couple’s precarious status as they attempt to flee, and Rajveer activates the tracking device, delivering the Koh-i-Noor to Harleen. In that moment Rajveer is shot while leaping from danger, and Harleen returns home to reunite with her grandmother, yet the thought of Rajveer lingers. She follows a clue to his house and comes face to face with his parents, slipping in as a delivery runner for a book order. A tense revelation follows as photos of Rajveer surface, and Shikha explains that Rajveer is Jaiwant “Jai” Nanda, Viren’s brother; Viren’s death is confirmed, and Pankaj is not swayed by the army’s version, pointing to a childhood swimming trophy that proved Jai’s exceptional ability to cross the lake in a single breath.

Harleen’s next turn of fate comes outside his home when she is kidnapped and taken to a distant desert castle. There she encounters Omar Zafar, who reveals that the surrendered diamond is a fake, while Gul’s operation is revealed to be part of a larger web of deception in which Zorawar is an informant. Zorawar administers a truth serum in a bid to force Harleen to disclose the real location of the Koh-i-Noor, but she deduces that Rajveer is very much alive and en route to eliminate Zafar and his men. Simultaneously, Rajveer, long believed dead, plants time bombs and silently disposes of Zafar’s guards outside the fortress.

Inside the fortress, Rajveer confronts Zafar and unveils the truth: the Koh-i-Noor was never stolen at all. It was a joint operation by MI6 and the ISS to bring Zafar down. Rajveer’s ultimate aim is to avenge Viren’s death by extinguishing Zafar’s life. As the bombs begin to explode, Zafar escapes with the remnants of his crew while Rajveer and Harleen make their own exit, the pair surviving by their wits and vigilance.

Yet the pursuit is not over. Zafar blocks their path again, seizing Harleen and leaving on a seaplane. Rajveer responds with relentless courage, shooting down the seaplane and taking down Zorawar in the process. After a fierce confrontation, Rajveer shoots Zafar as he pushes Harleen away from the burning aircraft. The seaplane explodes moments later, sealing Zafar’s fate. Rajveer is knocked unconscious and begins to drown, only to be saved by Harleen as army officers airlift them to safety.

Back in a hospital, Narayanan reveals to Rajveer that he will not be allowed to see Harleen or his own family. In a bold turn, Harleen disguises herself as a nurse, administers a sedative, and the two escape again. After an unspecified stretch of time, Rajveer is finally reunited with his parents and is able to introduce Harleen to them, closing a chapter that began with a dangerous chase and grew into a story of loyalty, love, and reconciliation. The saga leaves open the question of what comes next for Rajveer, Harleen, and the families torn between duty and devotion, but it remains a testament to the power of resilience in the face of a high-stakes battle for a jewel that could alter their destinies.
