Around the same time, a tragic political maneuver shatters their budding future: Sindhamani’s father promises her hand to another, leading to the engagement’s abrupt cancellation. In a clash of pride and dignity at a political function, Krishnasamy ridicules Samiyappan, an action that fuels Samiyappan’s anger. This humiliation triggers a brutal response from Samiyappan’s henchmen, who burn Krishnasamy’s house and claim the life of his brother who was inside. Krishnasamy fights back, but an honest police officer intervenes, arresting him before he can enact revenge. This officer soon gives Krishnasamy a new mission: to curb Samiyappan’s illegal activities, casting Krishnasamy into a path of corruption, risk, and moral conflict.
