Ramadasu, C S R Anjaneyulu, a devious zamindar who recently earned the colonial title Rao Bahadur, lives on credit and pursues a life of lavish indulgence by borrowing from every lender he can find. His scheme-driven mind is always calculating how to turn debt into advantage, and he moves through social circles with a practiced ease that hides a sharper, more self-serving agenda. Across this web of schemes stands Dewan Bahadur Mukunda Rao, S. V. Ranga Rao, a wealthy, generous but undeniably naïve zamindar who yearns for a perfect match for his beloved granddaughter Manjari. The two worlds collide over a single, high-stakes goal: to secure a royal bridegroom for Manjari, a union that would stabilize Rao’s fortune and elevate the family’s standing.
