On a rainy night, Jaydeep Raj Babbar meets Vikramjeet Sharat Saxena at his door and invites him inside for drinks, setting a taut, uneasy mood that threads the tale from the very first moment. As the conversation unfolds, Jaydeep confesses that his wife Neha Dimple Kapadia is having an affair with Sagar Suresh Oberoi, but this admission isn’t a truthful confession—it’s a calculated trap meant to lure Vikramjeet into helping Jaydeep carry out a brutal act of revenge. The tension thickens as Jaydeep leverages a photo of Vikramjeet disposing of a dead body and a history of aliases tied to drug dealing to coerce his reluctant accomplice, who finally agrees for a price of ₹1,00,000.
The plan to murder Neha takes shape as a wary alliance forms around the money on the table. The weekend arrives, with Jaydeep and Sagar away at a party, and Vikramjeet is instructed to slip into the house, hide in the drawing room, and wait for Jaydeep’s cue to contact Neha. When Neha appears to answer the telephone, Vikramjeet is to strike and then vanish, leaving no trace behind. The arrangement is executed with a chilling calm, and the air grows thick with the weight of the impending violence. Vikramjeet Sharat Saxena steps into the shadowed drawing room, the plan in motion, the clock ticking toward a fateful moment.
But the execution falters in a moment of self-preservation when Neha fights back, killing Vikramjeet in self-defense. The murder scene, instead of delivering the definitive verdict Jaydeep wants, begins to crumble under scrutiny. Back at home, Jaydeep works to doctor the crime scene to frame Neha for the murder, hoping to gain unfettered access to her wealth. Inspector Barua Danny Denzongpa senses foul play and begins to investigate, sensing that the official version might be a carefully constructed lie.
As the investigation unfolds, a deeper truth starts to emerge: Neha never had an affair with Sagar. The two had been in a relationship before her marriage and, decades later, reconnected as friends. The real motive behind the crime becomes clear—Jaydeep had married Neha for her wealth and orchestrated the entire murder plot to seize control of her finances. When the truth finally comes to light, Jaydeep’s carefully laid trap unravels in a dramatic reversal, exposing his greed and duplicity.
In a tense confrontation that tests loyalties and exposes the web of deceit, Jaydeep kills himself, unable to face the consequences of his plan. Neha is cleared of all charges and vindicated, her innocence proven and restored, though the emotional toll of the events lingers. The film closes on a somber note, with justice served through truth rather than through vengeance, and Neha stepping forward into an uncertain future, free from the shadow of a calculated scheme.
