In Hyderabad, Vikranth, a diligent C. I. who faces constant pressure from family to settle down, finds his professional path entangled with his personal life. During a tense operation, he crosses paths with another sharp-witted police inspector, Archana, and their shared sense of duty slowly blossoms into a deep, if complicated, romance. The pair fall in love, marry, and start a family, welcoming a son and enjoying a period of happiness that seems to promise balance between work and home.

Tragedy strikes when, while transporting a criminal to court, their jeep is destroyed in an explosion. Archana and their young son die in the incident, leaving Vikranth to grapple with overwhelming grief. Despite support from his father and Archana’s mother, the wound never fully heals, and Vikranth struggles to move forward while honoring the memory of the woman and child he lost.

To honor his family’s wishes and provide him with a new path, his relatives arrange a marriage to a young woman named Jhansi, concealing Vikranth’s first marriage to Archana. They tell Vikranth that Jhansi has agreed to the union on his behalf, and the two are married. The situation becomes more entangled when Archana and their son unexpectedly reappear in his life. It turns out they did not die; they were kidnapped by terrorists along with their men before the jeep explosion, and their survival adds a new layer of complexity to Vikranth’s already fractured world.

Meanwhile, Jhansi moves into a flat in the same neighborhood as Archana, and the two women become neighbors. Vikranth’s attempt to keep both marriages a secret grows harder as the women start to suspect that their husband might be someone else entirely, leading to a high-stakes balancing act he must perform to keep peace in two households.

Two criminals, Kirloskar and Murari, further complicate matters by meddling in Jhansi and Vikranth’s lives and trying to reveal the truth about Vikranth’s first marriage. Their schemes fail repeatedly, but they set in motion a chain of events that forces the truth to surface. Eventually, the wives confront Vikranth with the reality of his past, accusing him of betrayal and prompting him to defend his actions and the emotions tied to Archana.

Vikranth explains that his love for Archana was genuine, even as he faced the devastation of losing his first wife and son. He shares that his father urged him to move on in order to avoid living a lonely life, a piece of advice rooted in his father’s own painful history after his wife’s death in childhood. He reveals that he wanted to tell Jhansi the truth gradually to ease the pain, but Jhansi’s family dynamics and her father’s concerns complicated the timing. Archana and Jhansi come to terms with Vikranth’s true nature and her own limits; both women affirm that they cannot accept living with this complicated reality and seek divorce. In the end, Vikranth admits that his heart can still belong to Archana, while Jhansi chooses to walk away with her father, leaving the door open for the future to unfold in its own way.

The film closes on a note of unresolved longing and reluctant acceptance, as Vikranth confronts the consequences of his choices, the enduring memory of Archana, and the difficult reality that love cannot always be neatly reconciled with truth.
