A wealthy and independent industrialist, Jai Kishan Feroz Khan befriends a young man from a middle-class background by the name of Munish Mehra Dharmendra, offers him financial support to go abroad and acquire engineering qualifications, and then brings him onto one of his construction projects. This arrangement sets the stage for a complicated bond built on ambition, trust, and hidden motives.

Meena Khanna Saira Banu is the daughter of a government official, and it isn’t long before Munish and Meena meet, forge a connection, and fall in love. As their relationship grows, Jai Kishan finds himself drawn to Meena as well, which adds a layer of tension to the triangle and stirs a dangerous mix of desire and jealousy. The emotional stakes rise quickly when Jai discovers that Munish’s heart belongs to Meena, and that awareness drives him to act with cold resolve—he fires Munish and ensures that the latter will struggle to find work elsewhere.

Undeterred by the setback, Munish presses on. After facing several fruitless attempts to secure employment, he finally lands a government position and is tasked with investigating a catastrophic railway bridge collapse. In the course of his inquiry, he uncovers evidence that points directly to Jai Kishan, revealing that the disaster was caused by the use of sub-standard materials and compromised construction practices tied to Jai’s interests. With this troubling discovery, Munish suddenly has the means to confront the powerful man who upended his career and menaced his integrity.

Armed with damning information, Munish approaches his government employer to lay out the truth and seek justice. Yet when the moment to present a full, formal report arrives, Munish hesitates and ultimately declines to file it in full. This hesitation triggers a cascade of consequences: the government prosecutes him for alleged bribes and for allegedly destroying his own report, and the chief witness brought against him is none other than Jai Kishan.
