Sridhar narrates the preview, tracing the rise of Kotwal Ramachandra in the Bangalore underworld during 1975, a year that coincides with Indira Gandhi’s Emergency and sets the stage for a city-wide power shift. This tumultuous backdrop helps groom M. P. Jayaraj into a de facto king of the town, shaping a ruthless arc that blurs the line between law and menace.
[Jayaraj] is shown amassing influence, and his trajectory takes a sharp turn when he is imprisoned for contempt of court for ten years. After Indira Gandhi’s death, he is released and finds that Kotwal Ramachandra has seized the throne he once sought to claim. In parallel, Chetan — a business magnate from a Konkani Brahmin background with a vast family empire — falls in love with Mallika, a dancer from the Vokkaliga community, setting up a clash of ambitions and loyalties.
Girish Nayak, Chetan’s father, does not approve of the union and hires Kotwal Ramachandra to take on the case, escalating the pressure on the couple. Confronted with this opposition, Chetan grows mentally unsettled and seeks vengeance against Kotwal, turning to [Jayaraj] for help in his mission. Before this alliance fully takes shape, a damaging incident at the Kanishka Hotel stains Chetan’s reputation and draws the attention of the police, complicating their plans.
After his release, Jayaraj deepens his alliance with Sridhar and Bachchan, and together they befriend a close associate of Kotwal. Believing Kotwal to be secure, Siraj’s group is sent toward Tumkur, widening the net of alliances and betrayals that thread through the narrative. The tension peaks when Kotwal Ramachandra is killed, betrayed by his right-hand man Shetty, a blow that shatters many loyalties and reorders the power structure.
In the wake of this upheaval, Girish recognizes his missteps and brings the star-crossed lovers, Chetan and Mallika, back together. The couple ultimately marries and pursues a more peaceful life, closing the loop on a volatile chapter that blends political upheaval, personal vengeance, and shifting allegiances in Bangalore’s underworld.
