What Is A Captain’s Honor About?
The premise of A Captain’s Honor without spoilers.
During a televised debate on the Algerian war in the early 1980s, Professor Paulet publicly criticizes the tactics of Captain Caron, who died in combat in 1957. Offended by the remarks, Caron’s widow, Patricia, files a defamation suit, turning the dispute into a courtroom battle that pits historical interpretation against personal honor and forces both parties to confront the lingering wounds of the conflict.
