The Movie Echo Score Breakdown for Middle Class Melodies
Art & Craft
In terms of direction and visual craft, the film is praised for its genuine depiction of middle‑class settings and effective editing that maintains narrative flow. Critics highlight the director’s earnest handling, while some users find the cinematography merely average and note the runtime as excessive. These mixed remarks place the artistic execution in the moderate‑positive range, reflecting competent but not outstanding craftsmanship.
Character & Emotion
When evaluating character work, reviewers consistently applaud the depth of the father figure and the chemistry among the ensemble. Performances are described as seamless, especially for the supporting cast, bringing emotional heft to the story. Anand’s portrayal receives occasional criticism, yet the overall sentiment underscores strong, relatable portrayals that anchor the film, justifying a high character score.
Story & Flow
The narrative is recognized for its heartfelt, realistic slice‑of‑life approach, with many viewers finding it comforting and engaging. However, several comments point to a routine plot, limited intrigue, and early pacing issues that diminish momentum. This blend of appreciative and critical feedback results in a mixed‑to‑positive assessment, aligning the story score within the lower end of the favorable spectrum.
Sensory Experience
Sensory elements receive a balanced appraisal: location choices and sound design receive modest praise, yet the soundtrack is labeled weak and cinematography described as merely average. While certain scenes are highlighted for visual appeal, overall the auditory and visual impact does not consistently elevate the viewing experience, positioning the sensory score in a neutral range.
Rewatch Factor
Rewatch value is highlighted by many as strong, with the film’s comforting tone, memorable dialogues, and authentic regional flavor encouraging repeat viewings. Viewers describe it as a pleasant family watch and note the lasting appeal of its humor and emotional beats. Minor concerns about length do not substantially deter the desire to revisit, resulting in a high rewatch factor rating.

Raghava, [Anand Deverakonda], runs a breakfast center in his village along with his father, Kondal Rao, [Goparaju Ramana]. Raghava, who believes in his ability to make the famed Bombay chutney, dreams of turning this skill into a hotel and making it big in the nearby city, Guntur. But Kondal Rao is wary of such plans. Undeterred, Raghava, with his friend Chaitanya Garikipati as Gopal, secretly begins to search for a place suitable for his hotel. His uncle Nageshwara Rao offers him a shed for lease, but Raghava politely rejects the offer, owing to his complicated relationship with Nageshwara Rao’s daughter Sandhya. The shed is located away from the city center and behind a giant tree, but given his limited resources, Raghava later accepts the offer. Kondal Rao reluctantly agrees to fund with money from his chit fund.
Meanwhile, the chit fund runner defaults on his payment, threatening to derail Raghava’s plans. Kondal Rao decides to sell his land to cover the shed, and Nageshwara Rao, who recognizes land as a rising asset, sees a chance to swap the land for the shed at a low price. Unaware of the asset’s true value, Kondal Rao proceeds with the deal. When the scheme comes to light, Kondal Rao’s anger turns on Raghava, straining their relationship.
Across town, Gopal — Chaitanya Garikipati, an astrology believer — loves a girl named Gauthami, who works in a mobile shop in Guntur. Gauthami responds to his advances, but a cosmic mismatch in horoscopes makes him reconsider; he leaves, and she is left disappointed. Raghava opens his hotel in the shed but suffers heavy losses. Gradually, the two families’ tensions soften as Raghava and Sandhya start repairing their relationship, helping to revive the mood around the project.
Hope rises when the land’s value increases and the AE — Tharun Bhascker — shows interest, aiming to marry Sandhya. However, the AE’s family grows wary, and the engagement collapses. Nageshwara Rao, with few options left, agrees to the marriage between Raghava and Sandhya. But Raghava insists that he won’t marry until the hotel becomes profitable.
Tragedy strikes when the chit fund organizer, who also serves as town president, commits suicide, shocking the community. This event makes Gopal realize his mistakes and he comes to apologize. Gauthami proposes her marriage to Gopal, though she expresses some initial hesitation before accepting and invites him to talk with her parents.
Raghava comes to terms with the fact that he overestimated himself. He begins to address the hotel’s issues: cleaning up the dump yard behind the hotel, which had been created earlier, and devising a fresh Bombay chutney formula. Slowly, his business begins to pick up. The AE, now determined to marry Sandhya, faces resistance, but the couple persists. Raghava and Sandhya eventually marry, and Nageshwara Rao transfers the land to Sandhya, its value rising once more. The film closes with a new rival hotel opening under a similar name, challenging Raghava’s growing triumph, and he stands ready to face the competition.
