Blake Lively Alleges $161 Million Loss in Justin Baldoni Legal Battle
Blake Lively's legal team claims the actor lost $161 million in revenue due to an alleged smear campaign by It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni. The financial impact reportedly stems from losses across her beauty and beverage brands, potential acting roles, and reputational damage, with a trial scheduled for March 2026.

New legal filings in the ongoing dispute between actor Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni reveal staggering financial claims. According to reports from Variety, Lively’s attorneys assert that Baldoni’s alleged campaign to damage her professional reputation following disagreements on the set of It Ends With Us resulted in a total loss of $161 million.
Lively’s legal complaint details the specific areas of financial harm attributed to the alleged smear campaign. The breakdown of the claimed losses is as follows:
Her legal team has indicated they will seek triple damages in the case, which amounts to a potential claim of nearly half a billion dollars. No final amount has been set, and the trial is scheduled to begin on March 9, 2026.
The conflict became public in December 2024 when Lively filed a complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and fostering a hostile work environment during the production of It Ends With Us, which premiered in August 2024. She alleged that Baldoni launched a retaliatory campaign to “destroy” her reputation. This filing sparked a complex legal battle, including a $400 million countersuit by Baldoni against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, which was later dismissed by a judge.
Separately, Lively is moving forward with new professional projects. She is attached to star in The Survival List, an action romantic comedy based on a spec script by Tom Melia. The film, which Marc Platt is reportedly in talks to produce, follows a reality TV producer who must lead the survival efforts after being stranded on an island with an inept survival expert. The project is currently in pre-production.
Lively’s most recent release was Another Simple Favor, the sequel to the 2018 hit A Simple Favor. While the first film was critically acclaimed, the sequel received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences.
