Zachary Quinto

Zachary John Quinto, born on June 2, 1977, is an acclaimed American actor and producer known for his layered performances and wide variety. Quinto, most recognized for his roles as Sylar in the TV drama Heroes and Spock in the Star Trek film franchise, is also celebrated for his portrayal of Dr. Oliver Thredson in American Horror Story: Asylum, earning an Emmy nomination. Zachary Quinto was born to a barber father, Joseph John 'Joe' Quinto, and a mother who first worked in an investment firm, later at a magistrate's office, Margaret 'Margo' (née McArdle). Quinto was brought up in the suburban Green Tree, Pennsylvania, following the Catholic faith. By graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1995, where he won the Gene Kelly Award for Best Supporting Actor, and later graduating from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, Quinto supplemented his cultural lineage of Italian and Irish descent with an excellent academic record. His acting career ranges from early roles in TV series like The Others, CSI and Six Feet Under, to his applauded role in Heroes and casting as young Spock in the Star Trek film franchise.
