Sophia Di Martino was born on 15 November 1983 in Nottingham, England, and grew up in the leafy suburb of Attenborough. She is of mixed heritage, with an Italian father which gives her a half‑Italian background that she often celebrates. After completing her A‑Level in performing arts at Chilwell Comprehensive School, she pursued higher education at the University of Salford, graduating with a BA (Hons) in media and performance.
