She began her professional career in 1998 after graduating from the Japan Narration Institute and quickly secured roles in video games such as etude prologue – Shaking heart. Early on she became affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise, where she has remained a pivotal talent for more than two decades. Kugimiya first gained widespread recognition for voicing Alphonse Elric in the Fullmetal Alchemist series, a role that showcased her ability to convey both youthful innocence and deep emotional resonance. Her subsequent performances as Kagura in Gintama and Happy in Fairy Tail solidified her reputation as a dynamic performer capable of delivering comedic timing and heartfelt warmth.
