Matthew Gray Gubler is a renowned American actor, famously recognized for his role as a criminal profiler, Dr. Spencer Reid, in the popular CBS TV show, Criminal Minds, where he also directed multiple episodes. His career, spanning from 2000 to present, has seen him cast in an assortment of films and television shows like The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, 500 Days of Summer, Life After Beth and Suburban Gothic. The Las Vegas-born actor kick-started his acting career shortly after being spotted by a model scout during his film studies at NYU. His early acting journey was characterized by modeling involvements with DNA Model Management for prominent fashion brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, American Eagle, and more.
