Lily Gladstone

Lily Gladstone, born on August 2, 1986, is an acclaimed American actress of Piegan Blackfeet, Nez Perce, and European heritage. Raised on the Blackfeet Reservation, she earned her breakout role as Mollie Kyle. The character is an Osage woman who survived the notorious Osage Indian murders, in Martin Scorsese's highly lauded crime drama film Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). For her performance, Gladstone obtained numerous accolades, marking her as the first Native American to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, and garnering a nomination for the prestigious Academy Award for Best Actress. She made her feature film debut in Jimmy P: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian (2012), and has gone on to collaborate with esteemed filmmaker Kelly Reichardt on independent films like Certain Women (2016) and First Cow (2019).

Gladstone has also made her mark in popular TV series, appearing on HBO's Room 104 (2017–2020), Showtime's Billions (2016–2023), and FX's Reservation Dogs (2021–2023). She achieved notable recognition for her performance in the crime drama miniseries Under the Bridge (2024), earning a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. Born and raised in Kalispell, Montana, and on the Blackfeet Reservation in Browning, Gladstone boasts a lineage linking her to British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone. Her passion for acting was ignited during her childhood, and she continued to nurture that passion academically, graduating with a BFA in Acting/Directing from the University of Montana in 2008.
