Katherine Kelly

Katherine Kelly Lang (born Katherine Kelly Wegeman on July 25, 1961) is an American actress whose career spans more than four decades. Raised in Hollywood, California, she is the daughter of Olympic ski jumper Keith R. Wegeman and actress Judith Lang, and the granddaughter of Oscar‑winning cinematographer Charles Lang, giving her a rich legacy in both sports and the entertainment industry. After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, Lang made her screen debut in the 1979 film Skatetown, U.S.A., sharing the frame with future stars such as Scott Baio and Patrick Swayze. Throughout the early 1980s she accumulated a varied list of guest appearances on series like The Powers of Matthew Star, Magnum, P.I., Happy Days and The Fall Guy, demonstrating a versatility that would later define her long‑running soap opera work. In 1985 she expanded her visibility by appearing in several popular music videos, including Alabama’s “There’s No Way” and The Beach Boys’ “Getcha Back.”

Lang’s most iconic role arrived in 1987 when she was cast as the blue‑collar heroine Brooke Logan on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful. The character’s complex love triangle with Ridge and Taylor has become one of television’s longest‑running storylines, and Lang herself has narrated the saga for over 35 years, making her one of only two performers to appear in every episode of the series. Her portrayal earned multiple Soap Opera Digest Award nominations and cemented her status as a daytime television legend. Outside of the United States, she has guest‑starred on the Australian soap Neighbours and competed on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. Off‑screen, Lang has been married twice—to Skott Snider (1989‑1995) and Alex D’Andrea (1997‑2014)—and is mother to three children, including a daughter who gave her a granddaughter, Zuma, in 2018.
