Starting her acting career at the tender age of 13, in Camp Nowhere (1994), her breakthrough came with her role in the television series Dark Angel (2000–2002), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Alba has starred in numerous box office hits, including Fantastic Four, Good Luck Chuck and Mechanic: Resurrection, and her collaborations with director Robert Rodriguez, particularly in Sin City, are notable. Co-founding The Honest Company in 2011, Alba expanded her talents to the business sphere. The consumer goods company offers an assortment of baby, personal, and household products. She was born in Pomona, California to Catherine Louisa (née Jensen) and Mark David Alba.
