Isaiah Mustafa

Isaiah Amir Mustafa, born on February 11, 1974 in Portland, Oregon, is an American actor and former professional football player. Widely known as the main character in a series of Old Spice television commercials, 'The Man Your Man Could Smell Like', he garners fame for his portrayal of Luke Garroway on Freeform's fantasy series Shadowhunters and adult Mike Hanlon in It Chapter Two. Raised in a Muslim family, Mustafa spent his early childhood in Portland, Oregon, before moving to Mission Viejo, California, where his father established a limousine service business. Tragedy struck the Mustafa family when his father was killed in a car accident. Mustafa’s matured years consisted of him graduating from Arizona State University in 1995 with a degree in history, and later delving into the world of football. He played for notable NFL teams, including the Tennessee Oilers and Barcelona Dragons, but post the Seahawk's training camp in 2000, he steered his career towards acting. His acting portfolio involves series like Ugly Betty and Days of Our Lives, and notable roles in Horrible Bosses and ABC's action drama series Charlie's Angels. Besides his career in football and acting, Mustafa achieved internet fame in 2010 through his main role in Old Spice's popular advertising campaign, 'The Man Your Man Could Smell Like'. Mustafa's personal life includes him marrying Lisa Mitchell in 2018, with whom he has a son, along with a daughter from his previous marriage.
