Dorian Crossmond Missick, born on January 15, 1976, in East Orange, New Jersey, is an American actor widely acclaimed for his role as Damian in the television series Six Degrees (2006). Missick is also recognized for his brilliance in voice work, most notably for voicing Victor Vance in the 2006 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. His career breakthrough came with a starring role in the film Premium (2006), followed by his striking performances in films like The Manchurian Candidate (2004) and Lucky Number Slevin (2006). His acting journey started with a small role in a Coca-Cola commercial during his first acting class and playing a role of a young fisherman on In the Heat of the Night (1990). In 1996, Missick pursued his passion for acting with the Jazz Actors, a theater company in Harlem, where he studied under Ernie McClintock. Missick's acting style was profoundly influenced by McClintock's jazz-tinged technique.
In 2002, as Tony in Two Weeks Notice, Missick made his professional acting debut which propelled him towards roles in notable TV shows such as NYPD Blue, Law & Order, Now and Again, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He bagged parts in films like Undermind, 50 Ways to Leave a Lover, A Message from Pops, Freedomland, and Two Guns. His meeting with Denzel Washington led to a role in The Manchurian Candidate. Shortly after, his portrayal of Elvis in Lucky Number Slevin and his leading role in Premium alongside Zoe Saldana solidified his position in the film industry. In 2018, Missick had a recurring role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Luke Cage. He subsequently joined the main cast of the CBS All Access series Tell Me a Story as Sam in July 2018.
