Da'Vine Joy Randolph (born May 21, 1986) is an American actress highly praised for her diverse roles. She first gained recognition for portraying psychic Oda Mae Brown in the Broadway production of Ghost (2012). Her excellence earned her a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She expanded her career debuting in successful films including The Angriest Man in Brooklyn (2014) and Office Christmas Party (2016). Her roles in Dolemite Is My Name (2019) and The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2020) earned her widespread praise. Her portrayal in The Holdovers (2023) won her several awards, notably the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She is a nominee for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series because of her performances in the popular Hulu series Only Murders in the Building (2021–present). She spent a summer studying Shakespeare at the University of Oxford and is an alumna of the British American Drama Academy.
