Danny Huston

Daniel Sallis Huston, popularly known as Danny Huston, is a revered figure in the world of film as an actor, director, and screenwriter. Born into a family of filmmakers, he is the son of legendary director John Huston and half-brother to actress Anjelica Huston. Making his acting debut at the young age of 12, Huston has enjoyed an illustrious career and is renowned for his roles in films such as Ivans Xtc, 21 Grams, Birth, The Aviator, The Constant Gardener, and Marie Antoinette among many others. Beyond his film career, Huston has also made his mark on the small screen with notable roles in series like American Horror Story: Coven and American Horror Story: Freak Show. His directorial achievements include the films Mr. North, The Maddening and The Last Photograph.

Born in Rome, Italy, Huston grew up dividing his time between the United Kingdom and Ireland while also being of Canadian, Welsh, Scots-Irish, Scottish, and Anglo-Indian descent. After serving as an assistant to his father on the set of Under the Volcano, Huston graduated from the illustrious London Film School. As a director, he gained critical acclaim for his adaptation of Thornton Wilder's Theophilus North in the film Mr. North. Huston's performance in Ivans Xtc garnered him a nomination for Best Male Performance at the Independent Spirit Awards. His role as Sandy Woodrow in The Constant Gardener earned him the Golden Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actor. Huston's personal life included marriages to Virginia Madsen and Katie Jane Evans, with whom he had a daughter. He remains an active and influential figure in film and television.
