Justin Quayle, portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, is a High-Commissioner delegate sent to Africa who finds himself entangled in a tragic story of love and betrayal. As he navigates through his grief, Justin reflects on the time they first met at a journalist’s meeting, where Tessa boldly challenged his views. Despite their initial joy, the couple faces heartache when they lose their child, sending their relationship into a downward spiral. Upon his passing, a gathering of family, friends, and public figures comes together for his funeral.
