She comes from a renowned family of actors and directors, including her father, John Huston, and grandfather, Walter Huston. She debuted in her father's film A Walk with Love and Death (1969). Her career took flight in the 1980s with her role in Prizzi's Honor (1985), which saw her become the third generation of her family to receive an Academy Award. In the subsequent years, Huston continued to impress both critics and audiences with films like Crimes and Misdemeanors (1989), The Witches (1990), and The Addams Family films (1991–93).
Huston has also directed films and collaborated with directors such as Wes Anderson. Her directorial works include Bastard Out of Carolina (1996) and Agnes Browne (1999). Alongside her film work, she has ventured into TV series and lent her voice to animated films. She also penned her memoirs, A Story Lately Told (2013) and Watch Me (2014). Huston was born in Los Angeles, California, to director and actor John Huston and model Enrica Soma. Her life included several high-profile romantic relationships and a marriage to sculptor Robert Graham from 1992 until his death in 2008.
