Months later, after reconnecting with Sadie, Eveleigh is persuaded to stop the treatment. The hauntings return with a vengeance, and she becomes convinced that a hidden conspiracy is at play—one in which [David Maddox] may be involved. In her search for answers, Eveleigh reaches out to Jane Porter, who guides her back to Helena Knoll.
