Eveleigh Maddox awakens in a hospital as her husband David Maddox consoles her, recalling a fatal car crash that claimed a child’s life in the other vehicle. A year passes, and Eveleigh, now three months pregnant, and [David Maddox] are ready to reopen a Paso Robles vineyard. At a welcome party for the project, the presence of Helena Knoll, the area’s leading wine distributor, looms large, and Eveleigh notices Helena Knoll muttering in a trance when she’s alone in the house.

From that point on, Eveleigh is haunted by nightmares and unsettling visions that blur the line between memory and something more spectral. She throws herself into a yoga class where she befriends a fellow pregnant woman named Sadie, and Sadie accompanies her on a visit to the realtor, Glenn Barry. Glenn remarks that the vineyard house does not carry a dark past, but he urges Eveleigh to research the previous owners—the Porters—for any clues about lingering activity. The visions grow stronger, and Eveleigh fears her PTSD has returned, prompting both her and Dr. Mathison to push her to resume antidepressants despite her pregnancy. When she reluctantly agrees to take the medication again, the hauntings abate—yet only temporarily.

Months later, after reconnecting with Sadie, Eveleigh is persuaded to stop the treatment. The hauntings return with a vengeance, and she becomes convinced that a hidden conspiracy is at play—one in which [David Maddox] may be involved. In her search for answers, Eveleigh reaches out to Jane Porter, who guides her back to Helena Knoll. The two women, both sensitive to supernatural forces, visit the ruins of a demolished home on the property and share a vision. Helena explains that psychic violence can echo through time, leaving imprints on land, and, in a chilling moment, collapses. Before dying, Helena tells Eveleigh: > It’s not what you think. It’s you.

Seeking further truth, Eveleigh visits Victor Napoli, a vintner whose family once owned the property. Victor reveals that his great-grandmother burned down the old house because of paranormal disturbances and shows Eveleigh sketches from a failed medium attempt to contact spirits. The drawings eerily depict Eveleigh and David together, deepening her sense that the past and present are converging in unsettling ways.

Back home, an intervention is staged by David, [Dr. Mathison], Eveleigh’s friend Eileen, and family therapist Victoria Lambert. Eveleigh tries to explain that her experiences are not a haunting but a series of precognitive visions that reveal a future tragedy decades in the making. She realizes that the Porter and Napoli families have been receiving glimpses of the same terrifying future—and that the danger may unfold that very night.

Sadie arrives at the house with her husband, Ben, both armed. Victoria tries to flee, but Ben shoots her; Sadie fires at Dr. Mathison as chaos erupts. Eveleigh understands in that moment that every vision has been showing her real-time events, and David discovers that Sadie is not pregnant after all. He stabs her in the stomach, and Sadie turns the knife on him, sending him to the floor. Eveleigh pushes Sadie through a glass door and escapes while Ben stalks after her, killing a nearby farmer and then confronting her. She is knocked unconscious from behind.

When Eveleigh awakens, she finds herself held captive by Ben and Sadie. The truth surfaces: Sadie is the woman who lost her child in the fatal crash years earlier, and she holds Eveleigh responsible for that loss—planning to cut out Eveleigh’s baby. Eveleigh seizes a chance to break free and slashes Sadie’s throat. Ben lunges, but [David Maddox] arrives and shoots him dead. In the end, the vineyard house sits empty once more, with Glenn showing the property to a new couple.
