Gajapathy, a steadfast employee of Ramraj, often finds himself drawn into dangerous situations to protect Ramraj’s interests. Ramraj entrusts his infant son Rajkumar to Savithri’s care and also places the family wealth under Savithri’s name, a move that will set off a chain of perilous choices. The shadow of Dhanraj, Ramraj’s cousin, looms as a suspected threat to the fortune. Savithri’s husband, Gajapathy, and his wife fear for their safety, while Savithri seeks to shield her new family from looming danger. When Dhanraj murders Gajapathy and Ramraj, a dying Gajapathy makes Savithri K R Vijaya promise to protect Rajkumar Sarath Babu at any cost and to keep Ragupathy’s existence hidden with their paternal grandfather, Valayapathy V. K. Ramasamy in Anaipatti. Savithri’s maid Annamma carries Ragupathy away, but midway she is fatally wounded, and Valayapathy, who suspects Savithri of abandoning her own son, forces her to vow never to reveal Ragupathy’s true motherhood. News of a flight crash near Bombay that supposedly kills Dhanraj brings a fragile sense of relief to Savithri and Nathan, Ramraj’s loyal assistant, who believe Rajkumar’s danger has passed.

Years later, Ragupathy—a carefree youth who has moved to Madras for work—unwittingly steps back into a world of hidden identities. Dhanraj survives the crash and manipulates his son, Pounraj [Nassar], into believing that Savithri is Rajkumar’s caregiver and that Rajkumar’s life must be sacrificed to secure the family fortune. In Madras, Ragupathy crosses paths with Savithri again, but neither realizes their biological bond. A chance friendship with Vaiyapuri, a struggling photographer, leads Ragupathy to a glamorous party at Rajkumar’s 5‑star hotel, where he is hired as a bearer after proving his mettle by standing up to a misbehaving guest. There, he meets Kousalya, a room‑service captain [Amala Akkineni], and their mutual protection of her honor blossoms into affection. Meanwhile, Pounraj engineers a plan to kill Rajkumar during a ski trip in Germany, but Rajkumar survives, retrieving a clue that points toward Savithri and casting doubt on his supposed guardian.

Back in Madras, Rajkumar grows wary of Savithri as his personal guardian reveals that she is not his biological mother. Rajkumar’s sense of mistrust intensifies during his birthday celebration, when a dog eats the cake and dies, seemingly signaling further danger. Ragupathy earns Rajkumar’s trust by exposing a theft at the hotel, and a tense dynamic forms as Rajkumar hires his new ally as a personal assistant to help uncover threats. Valayapathy reappears in disguise, testing Ragupathy’s motives and acceptance of his lineage, while Kousalya’s romance with Ragupathy faces its own test when Valayapathy approves their bond. Dhanraj hires Nisha to lure Rajkumar into harm, and she agrees under pressure from Dhanraj’s men who threaten her mother. Ragupathy arrives just in time to rescue Rajkumar, but Nisha’s testimony shifts Rajkumar’s suspicion toward Savithri.

Confrontations escalate as Rajkumar accuses Savithri of treachery, while Ragupathy slowly discovers the truth of Savithri’s motherhood. The revelation triggers emotional turmoil, yet Ragupathy remains determined to uncover every truth and force the culprits to confess, so Rajkumar can restore his faith in Savithri. A staged “death” plot falls apart when Pounraj and Dhanraj capture Savithri, Valayapathy, Nisha, and her mother, forcing Ragupathy to broker Rajkumar’s signature on the property documents. The ruse collapses when Rajkumar refuses to let the family’s legacy be driven by deceit, and Pounraj escapes with Kousalya as Rajkumar is taken in a lorry. Ragupathy blocks their escape, seizing Dhanraj as a hostage, and the police move to arrest Dhanraj and Pounraj. In the end, Savithri is joyfully reunited with her two sons—Ragupathy and Rajkumar—who marry Kousalya and Nisha, respectively, sealing a hard‑won, enduring family bond and a future built on truth.
